I was talking before on burning my movies to DVD to watch.  A very simple procedure if your DVD player is DivX/AVI capable, a bit more jinning around if you need to do an old school DVD though.  There is an easier way.  Many things that you plug into your TV have a usb slot. I recently bought a HD digital set top box from Aldi for $70 which has a usb slot for recording and playing back, and would you beleive it plays my AVIs I download from Movies Capital straight onto a USB flash drive. This is so easy.  The el cheapo portable DVD player my kids use in the car works with it too!  The advantage is that the kids dont scratch another dvd, and it wont skip even when you get the old Family Queen Truckster airborne.  A 4GB drive will hold about 5 kids movies.
